Péter Simon received his PhD from Eötvös Loránd University in 1994 and his DSc from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2014.

In the framework of DYNASNET, he studies the propagation of information, in particular the behaviour of epidemics in large networks, using a mixture of mean-field and sparse network models.
